Imagine a world where nobody tells lies. That means there will be no any religion in that world. What if a person attempts to lie, and create an imaginary story on afterlife to make happy his mother on her deathbed, and writes down his thoughts on a man in the sky to the pizza boxes afterwards? So everyone may believe him and he may even be a prophet!
The Invention of Lying is a clever and profound movie about plastic and selfish lives in modern societies and the ruthless results of obsessions, and of course it is fun to watch.
I don't know how it gets a low score on IMDb, it really deserves much more.
