Alternative Libertaire invite Mohamed Amami to present his book, Tunisia: the revolution
facing the globalisations contemporary fundamentalisms. ---- June 11 to 20 hours, at 92,
rue d'Aubervilliers, Paris 19th Metro Riquet or Stalingrad ---- The revolutionary process
started in Tunisia (2010-2011), and spread throughout the Arab region has faced maneuvers
powerful opponents: first, the obscurantist Islamic fundamentalism; second, the neoliberal
fundamentalism and colonialist usurper; third, fundamentalism of a centralist nationalist
left. ---- The popular momentum was short-circuited, and replaced by a so-called
"democratic process" that limits the revolutionary tasks and leads to a restoration of the
old regime. ---- The courage of the rebellious young people in the regions and
marginalized popular sectors was not enough to dismantle the old structures and to
emancipate the people from the yoke of the state and the capitalist system.
The absence of a considered revolutionary strategy, a specific action plan and an
effective organizational capacity is the main cause.
Nevertheless she opened debate and led to a questioning of the twentieth century
stereotypes related to the Soviet model, the main obstacle to the development of other
revolutionary horizons.
This book aims to contribute to this debate to overcome the era of stagnation and despair.
It tries to capture the popular novel inventions to think the revolutionary process of the
XXI century.
